• 1873: Annie Davies was born in Cwrt Mawr, Llangeitho, Ceredigion to Robert and Frances Davies.
• 1895: She went to London to housekeep for her brothers John and Walter, who were students there.
• 1898: She married T. E. Ellis, Liberal Member of Parliament for Meirionnydd County.
• 1899: Her husband died of fever.
• 1899: Her son Thomas Iorwerth Ellis was born.
• She was well-known in Wales because of her association with the University College, Aberystwyth and the National Library, and in London through her husband’s connections.
• 1916: She married The Reverend Peter Hughes Griffiths, minister of Charing Cross Welsh Chapel.
• 1923: She was appointed President of the National Council of Wales of the Union of the Alliance Generations.
• 1924: Led a Peace Petition delegation from Welsh women to America.
• 1942: Annie Hughes Griffiths died at Neuadd Wen, Llanbadarn Road, Aberystwyth.
