Jacob Thomas

Jacob Thomas is famous for representing Britain in the Paralympics.

• Jacob had the condition Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
• He was a wheelchair user for most of his life, but he started playing Boccia and won many international titles at the BC3 classification.
• 2008: May – He came second in the Welsh National Championships in Cardiff and won the Pembrokeshire Sports Awards disability category.
• 2010: He became British champion.
• 2012: He won a Bronze Medal in the pairs competition at the European Championships and chosen to represent Great Britain in the Paralympic Games.
• 2013: He won the Gold Medal at the World Student Games in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
• 2014: Jacob went to China to represent Great Britain in the World Championships, and won a Bronze Medal, as well as a Silver Medal in the pairs competition,
• 2016: He won a Silver Medal in the pairs competition at the World Open Championships in Poznań, Poland.
• 2016: He retired from Boccia.
• 2020: August – He died peacefully aged 25.
